So...here I had planned to (and still plan to eventually) post photos of Spain at Christmas time. There lights hanging above each street and in Plaza Mayor, a tree made of lights in Sol, and a Christmas market in Plaza Mayor as well.
What I learned about Christmas here is that as commercialized as it is and as Americanized as it is (they have Santa things to purchase all over), it is also a very public holiday - lights in public places and on the streets as opposed to mainly in/on individual houses. Not that this is the first time I have seen something like this, but the first time in a while.
Photos to come soon.
Peace and Blessings,
Melanie
Spanish Word of the Day: publico = public, celebrar = to celebrate :)
